Do not take our word for it.
Every record this cooperative keeps is fingerprinted. Once a day those fingerprints are folded into a single number and written to a public blockchain. Paste a record below and this page will check it — in your browser, against the chain, using arithmetic you can repeat yourself.
64 hexadecimal characters. It appears beside any record of yours as record_hash. It reveals nothing about the record — it is what remains when the record is gone.
Paste the record as JSON and the 64-character salt stored with it. The fingerprint is derived here from those two things, so you are not asked to trust a number we hand you. Neither value is stored by this page.
For an exchange, reason is the sentence as you wrote it. The database stores that sentence encrypted, but the fingerprint was taken before it was encrypted — so what verifies here is your own words, and the encrypted form is never something you need to see.
A fingerprint whose record has since been erased still verifies here. That is deliberate. The proof survives; what it described does not. Nothing on this page can reconstruct a record, a name, or a person from the numbers it shows you — which is precisely why we can afford to show them to everyone.
